Based on a combo of Amity, Lilith, Raine, and Steve (TOH)
☆ Half witch, half demon - He is the result of his mother’s affair with an unknown demon. Mr. Harrington is sterile so reluctantly kept Steve as his heir.
☆ Steve was forced to wear a concealment charm at all times, taught to be ashamed of his demon traits. The gem hides his horns and fangs, as well as his freckles and moles (both elder Harrington’s have fair skin).
☆His parents forced “encouraged” him to study illusion magic at Hexside to help hide the parts of him that would cause people to be suspicious of his paternity. He’s good with illusions so he doesn’t mind, but sometimes he wishes he could pursue something else, like healing or plant magic.
☆ Steve and Eddie were childhood best friends but the Harrington’s forced them apart (think Willow and Amity). They start hanging out again as teenagers and Eddie helps him come to terms with his demon half.
☆ They eventually start dating and fall in love. With Eddie’s support, Steve stops wearing his concealment charm when he’s 16 and approaching graduation. His father (who is loosely based on Kikimora, power hungry and relatively high up in the Emperor’s Coven) is away on business for Emperor Vecna, so for a while things are good, great even. Shortly after, Eddie is mysteriously cursed and has to drop out of school.
☆ Steve desperately tries to make it work between them, considers becoming a wild witch as well, but Eddie keeps pulling away until he eventually breaks up with Steve, devastating the younger witch.
☆ Broken hearted, Steve begrudgingly joins the Emperor’s Coven at his father’s insistence. He never gets over his first (and only) love, but he does his best to make the most of the opportunity. No longer required to wear the charm or focus his energy on illusions (gossip spreads quickly on the isles and everyone’s heard about the Harrington scandal by now), he’s able to focus on learning other forms of magic. Despite being a nepo hire, he is quite talented and has an affinity for wild magic.
☆ To his father’s dismay, Steve has no ambition within the coven and happily takes on a low ranking role that has him spend most of his time tutoring and recruiting students at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics. He starts to actually enjoy his job and thinks that he might have liked to be a teacher, in another universe.
☆ “Steve is beginning to regret his choices.” - Steve, when he stops by Robin’s shop in the night market. “Stop speaking in third person, dingus.” - Robin, who is his best friend in every universe because I said so.
This got a little longer than expected, but I’m excited to start fleshing out this AU. I had to stop myself before I gave away the whole story 😅 Steve’s backstory will probably be the first fic published in my Steddie TOH AU- as it’s the only one I’ve almost finished. But I’m focusing on the art for now because I have no clue how long the inspiration will last. Sometimes I go for weeks/months/years without drawing because brains are fickle beasts.
Anyways! The next piece I’m working on is called “Stevie’s Song, or Eddie’s Requiem,” and I’m beyond excited to post my first steddie fanart!! I still have a ton of sketches I need to work on digitally, such as Bat Beast Eddie, a bunch more character sheets, Chrissy x Robin and El x Max content, etc.

☆ “Eddie the Bat Freak, local menace and the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles, at your service.”
☆ Wild Witch, never joined a coven, studied bard magic at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics.
☆ When he was younger, he was called “Eddie 'the Freak’ Munson” but after being cursed, people started calling him “Eddie 'the Bat Freak’ Munson” instead.
☆ His mother was a witch and his father was half demon. The only signs of his lineage are his fangs. He was raised by his Uncle Wayne (also half demon).
☆ Cursed with the Bat Beast Curse at 17 years old, shortly before graduation. (We don’t know a lot about canon TOH schooling, so in my AU witches and demons go to school until they are 16ish years old before they must join a coven. Some people may graduate earlier or later than others, such is the case with Eddie). He doesn’t know who cursed him.
☆ Founder of the “Human Appreciation Society” (HAS) originally called “Hellfire Club.” He 100% took the name from a x-men comic book that slipped between realms and created the club because he was fascinated by the little glimpses he had seen of human culture. The name was changed to HAS after he was cursed and dropped out of school, and the current president is Dustin Henderson.
☆ “You know, only one other student wanted to study every track. Unfortunately he was never given the opportunity.” - Principal Clarke to El on her first day at Hexside.

I will eventually be posting some fic to go along with the art and there will be two storylines- the story of how Eddie and Steve grew up together and fell apart, and then El’s journey to the demon realm (which also serves as the story of how Steve and Eddie find each other again). Though this AU originally stemmed from a lil plot bunny where I thought it would be funny to crossover Eddie and Eda, it quickly got away from me and I have so many plans lol

The Owl House (TOH) and Steddie are my two main hyperfixations rn and while I was on my 3rd rewatch of TOH, I had a thought- Eda the Owl Lady, Eda kinda sounds like Eddie, Eddie the Owl Lady? No, it’d be bats, not owls… So on and so on until I reached Eddie the Bat Freak (thanks @heartsyhawk and @lupedusoleil for your help there) and the idea kinda took off from there 😅
I have about 10k words of information/drabbles for this AU and a dozen or so sketches of different characters that I’ve already scanned in and need to clean up before posting. So make sure to follow for more Steddie TOH content 🥰

@ people who arent as familiar w this au, for context pacifica has been on good terms with the twins for a long time so!! this would be the conclusion of many many episodes of shipteasing and flirting that neither one recognizes as flirting. its good. its great.
i posted a boba fett trans pride/ally drawing on my instagram yesterday and got so much goddam backlash from angry fanboys who tried telling me that boba fett doesn’t support trans/nb people or they/them pronouns. obviously they don’t know SHIT about boba fett so i drew this petty ass comic as a response. goodnight bitches.
I think my favourite concert experience was when I went to see Lindsey Stirling and One Republic was on after her because the dude just kind of strolled out onto the stage up to the mic and went “Hey. We’re One Republic… If you’ve ever shopped in a Whole Foods, you’ve probably heard our music.” and then started playing. I don’t know what happened after that because I left.
